February Flowers in Americus Garden

Another beautiful day at the Americus Garden Inn. Thought it would be the perfect time to give you a tour of the flowers in the garden. The Japanese magnolia located next to the koi pond has just started to bloom.The daylilies are beginning to break ground.
Along the driveway, the daffodils have appeared.

The snowball bush on the path towards the gazebo has some new flowers.

The ruby lorapetalum is full of blooms.

Buds can be found on the many tea olive bushes.

This is the first time we've seen this in the garden.

Magnolias, Hydrangeas and Whirling Butterflies

The magnolias have just started to bloom. The cranesbill geraniums are lush.
The ligustrum hedge is full and fragrant.
Endless summer hydrangea are just beginning to show their color.

Buds are evident on the unique hydrangea

and the variegated hydrangea.

I love this flower, whirling butterfly gaura. It looks like it is dancing in the breeze.

It may look like black-eyed susans, but, this is yellow echinacea.

Spring is on its way to Americus

With all the unpredictable weather this year, the winter flowers are comingling with the early spring blooms. The camellias love this cold weather.

The holly plants, surrounding the pond, are totally loaded with bright red berries.
The nandina are also displaying large clusters of bright red berries.

But, here comes the hint of spring...

with the first daffodils making their debut!
